Angel first came to us at age 13. And then again aged 14. He was living on the streets as mother is an addict and father absent for many years. He lived most of his life with grandmother but she is now sick. Using drugs but especially crystal meths. Sexually abused by men and living with a man to survive.

He stole from the cartel and was punished by breaking his fingers and burning his dominant (right) hand. He is left with significant scarring to his palm and a permanently bent little finger. He had not attended school for several years. When we tried to get him back to school he ran away. He has hyperactivity disorder and was self medicating with drugs to give himself some relief. We had him on medication and was much happier and calmer. Eventually he decided to go back to the streets though we did have him back for another 6 week period.
